It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrna Lee Venus of Follansbee, West Virginia, who passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Myrna departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Myrna may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Myrna leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank McGinnis and Ruth McGinnis (Donnell); her husband Samuel L. Venus, Jr.; and her siblings, Richard, Robert McGinnis and Marjorie Mills.
She is survived by: her children, Beth McKinney (Shawn) of Follansbee, WV, Jeffrey S. Venus of Follansbee, WV and Tracie Koslik (Thaddeus) of Albuquerque, NM; and her grandchildren, Aaron Koslik (Melissa Martinez) and Samantha McKinney. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
