He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Persina and Margaret Persina (Gibson); and his brother Larry Persina. He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Persina (Edgell); his daughter Tracy Groch (Robert); his grandchildren, Hope Groch and Robert Groch Jr.; his great grandchild Lucius; and his brother Bill Persina (JoAnn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the James Funeral Home (1245 Main St, Follansbee, WV 26037). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
