Joseph E. Spencer Obituary
In loving memory of Joseph E. Spencer (Forest Hill, West Virginia), who departed this world on October 24, 2025 at the age of 80. Joseph leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, John Spencer and Mary Ellen Spencer; and his brother-in-law O. L. Faris. He is survived by: his wife Becky Lowry Spencer; his sons, Joesph Spencer Jr. (Stephanie) and Kennie Spencer (Tessa); his siblings, Howard Spencer Jr. (Nila), Joyce Faris, Dan Spencer (Kathy), Tom Spencer (Rhonda), Bill Spencer (JoAnn), Tim Spencer (Melody), Sam Spencer (Belinda), Dave Spencer (Teresa) and Becky Prunesti (Lou); his sister-in-law Patty Spencer; his grandchildren, Caleb Spencer (Kelsie), Ethan Spencer (Kristen), Andrew Caldwell (Tahlia), Emma Blaker (Chad) and Kennah Spencer; and his great grandchild Slaton Spencer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Joe Spencer to the Ballard Christian School (1441 Adair Ridge Road, Ballard, WV 24918).
