He was predeceased by: his parents, Alec Middleton and Belva Middleton (Skidmore); his brother Irvin K. Middleton; and his niece Christie Vanderberg. He is survived by: his wife Karen Middleton (Brown); his children, Alan of Augusta, WV and Cheryl; his son-in-law Andrew Upwright of Kearneysville, WV; and his grandsons, Daulton and Samuel Middleton of Burlington, WV.. He is also survived by several cousins and nephews.
