Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ruth Huggins of Fort Ashby, West Virginia, who passed away at the age of 85, on October 20, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Thomas Friend and Mary Louise Friend (Spedden); her husband Grover Allen Huggins; and her siblings, Virginia Winters and Richard Friend.
She is survived by: her children, Dana Huggins, Kathy Huggins Phares and Michael Huggins (Seunghye); her grandchildren, Zac Phares (Holly), Jacob Phares, Haley Huggins and Hannah Huggins; her great grandchildren, Nolan Phares and Demi Phares; and her siblings, Rebecca McDowell and William Friend. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Davis Cemetery. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Shay Room at Blackwater Lodge (1584 Blackwater Lodge Rd, Davis, WV 26260).
