He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Puffenbarger and Virginia Margaret Puffenbarger (Rexrode); his wife Betty Jo Puffenbarger (Kiser); his son Alan Joe Puffenbarger; and his brother Harold.
He is survived by: his daughter Diana Jo Cottrell of Fishers, IN; and his grandchildren, Haley Puffenbarger, Elijah Puffenbarger, Courtney Mueller, Brad Luschinski and Amanda Luschinski. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
He attended Christ Central Church in Upper Tract, WV, and he made donations to John Hagee and Charles Stanley Christian Ministries, reflecting a quiet generosity and a commitment to helping others.
