He was predeceased by : his parent Shirley Burgoyne; his nephew Ryan Harper; and his siblings, Michael Burgoyne and Maggie Harper. He is survived by : his wife Sandra Ellen "Sandy" Burgoyne (Hise); his children, Nikki Burgoyne (David Carper) of Strasburg, VA and Jeremy Evans (Kimeran) of Morgantown, WV; his sister Laura Bilek of Binghampton, NY; and his grandchildren, Willa, Declan, Daleigh, Hadley, Camden and Maddox.

“My heart goes out to his family and all who loved him. I knew him as a quiet,kind,and gentle giant. I remember him building a bird house with Aunt Nellie. I believe she taught every child that came around. Tommy's sister Maggie and cousins SueAnn,Kathy and myself would perform for anyone we could force to listen and watch. I believe we forced Tommy.
