She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmit Simmons and Nona Bell Tenney Simmons; her children-in-law, Louise McClure and Larry VanGilder; her great grandchild Christopher Howell; and her siblings, Donald, Richard, James, Purlly Simmons, Delma Howes, Reta Murphy and Clarabelle Friend.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Uphold of Belington, Mildred McClure of French Creek, Vickie Bennington (George) of Buckhannon, Jerry McClure (Marty) of North Carolina, Donald McClure of Buckhannon and Raymond McClure (Linda) of French Creek; her siblings, Sherwood "Woody" Simmons of Buckhannon and Mary Alice McClure of Buckhannon; and her daughter-in-law Susan Bonhill McClure of Ohio. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
