He is survived by: his children, Brode Tharp (Jess), Ashley Kirkpatrick, Tara Tharp, Brock Tharp and Angela Chavarria; his son-in-law Antonio Ortiz; his grandchildren, Darryl Flynn, Kyson Alderman and Sofia Ortiz; his siblings, William Tharp (Gloria), Burton Tharp (Faye), Violet Butcher, Lenore Adams, Rose Gywn, Peggy Bennett (Jim), Wilma Hamrick (Junior), Christine Crider (Don), John Tharp and Opal Tharp; and his brother-in-law Henry Butko. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
