It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Icie Mae Takacs of Galloway, West Virginia, who passed away on March 24, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orsie Bise and Gladys Irene Bise (Booth); her husband Joseph Takacs; her stepdaughter Elizabeth Takacs Hurst (Libby); her half-brothers, Bill Bise, John Bise, Pete Reed and Van Booth; her daughter-in-law Esther Ellen Bise (Ramsey); her sister Elizabeth Ann Phillips of Tacy, WV; and her pets, Janie and Charlie.
She is survived by: her son Robert Bise, Sr.; her grandchildren, Robert Bise, Jr., Jason Bise, Amanda Bise and Bobby Hurst of Galloway, WV; her great grandchildren, Andrew Bise of Buckhannon, WV and Jaxson Robert Bise of Belington, WV; her great great grandchild Alayna Bise of Buckhannon, WV; and her niece Tracey Rickey (Shawn) of Fairborn, Ohio.
Icie was an avid enthusiast of ceramics, cross stitching, quilting, sewing, making toboggans by knitting (Donating to charities and anyone that needed a head covering), scarves, and lately diamond art, any kind of craft, she was into it.
