It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys Marie Hawkins Williams (Gassaway, West Virginia), who passed away on September 29, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Howard Hawkins and Eunice Evelyn Johnson Hawkins; her children, Thural Wandel Williams, Jr. and Denise Colleen Williams Niese; her siblings, Thelma Pigott, Helen Hawkins, Howard, Gale, Calvin, Allen, Jesse and Richard; and her sons-in-law, Brooks Moyers and Mark C. Minney.
She is survived by: her spouse Thural Wandel Williams; her children, Linda Moyers (Jerry B. Allen) of Flatwoods, WV, Marlene Minney of Perkins, WV, Ruth Ann Jacops (Richard "Jake") of Rosedale, WV and Warren Williams of Vermilion, OH; and her son-in-law Dale Niese of Northwood, OH. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Roach Funeral Home (708 Braxton St, Gassaway, WV 26624). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
