It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kara Lynne (Keenan) Nichols (Gassaway, West Virginia), who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Carl E. "Nick" Nichols; her parents, Grace Keenan and Russell Laverne Keenan; and her siblings, Mary Nichols, Carole Keenan, Paul Keenan, Russell Keenan, Robert Keenan and Gerald Keenan.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Ferrell (Marty) of Cross Lanes, Russell Nichols (Pamela) of Chesnee and Kathy McCormick (Joe) of Nashville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Adam Robinson, Amber Cooper (Adam), Joshua Taylor (Judy), Jessika Taylor (Matthew), Tyler Nichols, Cayla Perry (Nick), Brittany Ferrell and Jake Nichols; and her sister Cheryl Kay Quifunas (Frank) of New Castle, Delaware.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Roach Funeral Home (708 Braxton St, Gassaway, WV 26624). A burial will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
