He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Dale Phillips and Birdie Phillips (Rose) of Gauley Bridge; his daughter Alisha Kandi Phillips; and his brother Gary Phillips. He is survived by: his sons, Derrick Phillips of Kanawha County and Joshua Phillips of Kanawha County; his siblings, Mark Phillips of Fayette County, Phyllis Johnson of Jackson County and Ellen Coleman of Indiana; the mother of his children Deloris Phillips of Kanawha County; and his close friend Hexelle.
