Diana L. Whetzel Obituary
We bid farewell to Diana L. Whetzel in Glen Dale, West Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 21, 2025 at the age of 76. Diana touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wendel Edward Meade and Elizabeth Meade (Marcum); her husband Ray Albert Whetzel; and her brother Eddie Meade. She is survived by: her children, Jason Whetzel (Vickie) of Lexington, NC, Daniel Whetzel (Erin) of Pittsburgh, PA and Penny West (Christopher) of Moundsville, WV; her brother Bob Meade (Harriet) of Moundsville; and her grandchildren, Kyle, Evan, Michael, Justin, Roman, Amaya, Olivia, Raeleigh and Tia. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Harvest Baptist Church (1207 Covert St, Moundsville, WV 26041).
Diana was also a former member of the Red Hat Society and the Dorcas Circle at Harvest Baptist Church in Moundsville, where she formed lasting friendships and made significant contributions to her community.
