He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Bungard and Margaret Bungard (Crow); his wife Patricia "Patty" Lightner-Bungard; his children, John Bungard Jr., Lena Auten (David), Andrew Bungard Sr. (Sadie), Brandy Hudson (Doug) and Kilie Bungard (Lucas); and his grandchildren, Melaney Bungard, Andrea Sutton (Mike), Lillyann Bungard (Tater), Macie Price, Allie Blake (Michael), Emily Blake (Colton), Haley Blake, Shelbi Lamp (Jeremy), Destinee Auten (Kasey), Barrett Christopher, Bronson Christopher and Kayden Auten.
He is survived by: his nephews, Chuck and Smiley; his son-in-law Doug; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Logan, Paisley, Lincoln, Kasyn, Daxten, Brilynn, Briella, Alina, Amelia, Kylie and Lexie; and his siblings, Wilbert Bungard (Pam) and Rona Rice.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1109 2nd St, Moundsville, WV 26041). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
