He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dobbs and Dessie Blake Dobbs; and his siblings, Lawrence, Carlton, Beryl, Bryon, Maxine Palmer, Josephine Garrison, Patricia Smithson, Barbara Gorby and Betty Noble.
He is survived by: his wife Ella Johns Dobbs; his children, Sandra Whipkey (Jeff), Jenny Timmins (John), Daniel Dobbs (Julie) and Roger Dobbs (Marilou); and his sisters, Janice Kuhn and Sharon "Susie" Peters (Charlie). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and one on the way and 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
