He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smith and Jessie Smith; his significant other Margaret Ellen Smith; and his daughter Charlotte Ann Kirk (Michael). He is survived by: his children, Margaret Smith, Christie Shrewsbury (Norman), Janice Daniels and William "Bill" Smith (Kelly). He is also survived by four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his golden retriever.
