She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Jesse and Alma Mae Newton; her husband John Brizendine Sr.; her son John Brizendine Jr.; and her brother Gary Newton.
She is survived by: her children, Bridget Brizendine of Proctorville, Deborah Brizendine of Huntington, James Brizendine of Huntington, Mark Brizendine (Anna) of Huntington and Erin Edmonds (Vinton) of Glenwood; and her siblings, Ina Mae Thompson of Ashland and Rick Newton (W. Va) of Ceredo. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Johnson Tiller Funeral Home (10030 WV-152, Wayne, WV 25570). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
