He was predeceased by: his parents, William Denver and Vena Saunders (Hawthorn); his wife Lois Avalee Saunders; his siblings, Richard Saunders, Donald Saunders and Landora Greathouse; his grandson Clayton McComas; and his son-in-law Kenneth McComas.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley McComas of Glenwood, WV and William "Bill" Saunders (Karen) of Glenwood, WV; and his grandchildren, Angela Staats (Tom), Natalie Taylor, Jessica Meadows, Jeff Saunders (Jackie) and Denver Saunders. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
