He was predeceased by: his parents, Loretta Petry and Prather Petry (Tom); his daughter Stephanie Watkins; his grandparents, Lonnie, Ella Mable Petry, Buddy and Francis Griffith; and his siblings, Athena Petry, Stephen Petry and Thomas Petry.
He is survived by: his brother Anthony Petry (Kathy) of Van, WV; his grandson Sebastian Lee Watkins of Prenter, WV; and his sons, Johnathan of Gordon, WV and Wayne of Gordon, WV. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Handley Funeral Home- Danville (439 Phipps Ave, Danville, WV 25053). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
