He was predeceased by : his parents, Dennis Burl and Betty Jane Barker Skiles; his wife Lorita Ann "Rita" Scott Skiles; his grandson Chase Jones; and his sisters, Ruth Johnson and Nancy Dickey.

He is survived by : his children, Dennis Skiles Jr. (Christina), Steve Skiles (Danielle) and Cheryl Skiles; his grandchildren, Kyle Jones, Katelyn Jones, Kayla Jones, Hailey Skiles, Skylar Skiles, Cory Skiles, Shawn Skiles and Lily Skiles; and his sisters, Billie Jo McDaniel, Linda Lou Powroznik and LouAnn Moore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
