With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John C. Custer of Grafton, West Virginia, who passed away on March 28, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Charlie" Custer and Mary Custer Bray (Fawcett); his wife Peggy Ann Custer (Shriver); and his siblings, Mary Lou Felts and James "Jimmy" Custer.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon A. Ware (Paul) of Grafton and Charles E. "Chuck" Custer (Debbie) of Grafton; his grandchildren, Charles A. "Anthony" Custer (Loren) of Morgantown, Kristy A. Pisino (Keith) of Grafton, Samantha M. Newlon (Thomas) of Grafton and Alyssa B. Guthrie (Jedd) of Grafton; his great grandchildren, Alexis M. Knotts (Ricky Moran), Mattie Newlon, Katelyn Newlon and Isabella Brooke Guthrie; his stepgrandsons, James, Tommy Newlon and Michael Pisino; his great great grandchildren, Raelynn and Truxon Moran; his brother Danny Custer; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Shriver of Grafton and Sam Shriver of Grafton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
