We announce the death of Misty Watkins (Grafton, West Virginia), who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 45. Misty will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Minnie, James Russell Fawcett, Robert and Sarah Watkins; and her uncle John Watkins.
She is survived by: her parents, Barbara Watkins and George Watkins; her brother Craig Watkins (Elizabeth Dalrymple); her aunt Sara; her uncle Ronnie Fawcett; her cousins, Amy Fawcett and Rebecca Markley; her son Conner; her aunts, Jo Knotts, Peggy Watson and Sharon Watkins; and her uncle Jay Rittenhouse.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bartlett Funeral Home (202 Mc Graw Ave, Grafton, WV 26354). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Misty consider contributing to the Misty Watkins Memorial Scholarship, established in her memory to honor her extraordinary dedication to her students and to education.
