He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Daniel and Chloe Florence Boylen (Shahan); his wife Naomi D. Boylen; his son William F. "Billy" Boylen II; and his siblings, Rev. Lester "Darl" Boylen, Margie Newlon, Helen Toney, Delbert Shahan, Clyde Boylen, Ralph Boylen, Merle Boylen, Russell Boylen and Dorothy Gainer.
He is survived by: his son Alan B. Boylen (Pam) of Fairmont; his brother Jimmy Boylen of Grafton; his grandchildren, Christopher Boylen of Grafton, Jason Boylen of Bridgeport, Aaron Boylen (Danielle) of Grafton, Brandi Davis (Tim Lassiter) of Morgantown and Niki Thorn (Micah) of Bridgeport; his great grandchildren, Cayden, Caitlyn, Raelynn, Holden, Lucas, Camryn, Kiyan, Kianna, Jarin and Brady; his daughter-in-law Shari Boylen of Grafton; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Boylen of Buckhannon and Rev. Walker Toney of Marion, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
