It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry DeWitt Harris of Grantsville, West Virginia, who passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William Harris and Ernestine Harris (Wilson); and his siblings, Alice Marie Harris, Dorothy Louise Kirby and Robert Harris (Ann).

He is survived by : his daughters, Alissa Harris of Harpers Ferry, WV and Casey Hill (Daniel) of Grantsville, WV; his grandchildren, Nicolette Liles and Jackson Lane Hill; and his sister Judy Phares. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in his honor to Calhoun County Girls Varsity Basketball Team mailed to Calhoun County High School Attn: Kevin Boak, 50 Underwood Circle, Mt. Zion 26151 or The Little Red Devil Football mailed to PO Box 986 Grantsville, WV 26147.

“I only recently learned of Larry’s passing. He was my colleague and friend at CCHS during my 15 yr tenure. I learned more from him than anyone about students, people in general, and myself. I mourn his passing, but have wonderful memories. May God bless you.”
