We announce the death of John Albert Grafton of Hambleton, West Virginia, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 56. He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jim" Earl Grafton and Margaret Ann Shorter Grafton; and his brother James "Jimmy" Allen Grafton. He is survived by: his sons, John Garrett Grafton (Peyton) of St. Petersburg and Grant Paul Grafton (Rebekah) of Catlettsburg; his granddaughter Daisy; his siblings, Marie Ann Grafton of Hambleton, Kristina Wamsley of Hambleton, Cathy Stemler (Mitch) of Philippi, Kimberly Lanham (Ricky) of Davenport, FL and Kevin Grafton (Michele) of Hedgesville; his sister-in-law Kathy Grafton; his nephew Patrick Waldron of Hagerstown, MD; his niece Trisha Banks; his great-nephew Jackson Banks of Greencastle, PA; his nephew James Grafton (Tina); his great-nephews, Brody and Owen of Montrose; his nephew Dustin Grafton (Solena); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hunter, Jaislynn and Camille of Parsons; his niece Cassandra Stemler LeBorious (Matthew); his great-niece Lucy of Martinsburg; his niece Chelsea Stemler Biser (Tyler); his great-nephews, Brooks and Heath of Leesburg, VA; his nibling Morgan Stemler (Wendel); his great-nephew Oliver of Philippi; his nephew Joshua Lanham (Jessie); his great-nieces, Penelope, Octavia and Amelia of Grovetown, GA; his great-nephew Abraham; and his nephew Matthew Lanham (Raven) of St. Albans. He is also survived by siblings, nieces, nephews.
