She was predeceased by: her parents, Bryan Sponaugle and Delva Carr Sponaugle; her husband Edward Junior "Bud" Hardy; her siblings, Eugene, Harold, Lewis, Cleon, Butch Sponaugle, Allen "Hambone", Burl Mason, Wilda, Lucy Sponaugle and Martha Whetzel; her stepmother Armitte Sponaugle; and her grandchildren, Joshua Poling and Holly Poling.

She is survived by: her children, Edward Wayne Hardy of Dry Fork, David Craig Hardy (Christina) of Hambleton, Lana Christine Graber (Randall) of Bolivar and Donna Jean Poling Simmons of Philippi; her grandchildren, Shawn, Christopher, Melanie, Jason, Brandi, Destry, Misty, Cameron, Isabella and Malia; her sister Naomi Lambert of Mabie; and her close friends, Brenda Credal, Trudy Helmick and Belle. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
