He is survived by: his significant other Corrina; his siblings, Clovis Messinger (Leta), Clayton Messinger (Lula), Mayme Nelson (Gene), Lydia Adkins (Woodrow), Nellie Brown (Don), Ellen Gay Sias and Velva (George); his children, Bob Messinger, Dale, Bobby Messinger (Miranda), Pat Meade (Bob) and Tab Messinger (Scott); his grandchildren, Debbie Messinger, Lonnie Messinger (Bonnie), Jamie Messinger (Kala), Nora Messinger (Kati), Kat Brown, Whittney Messinger, Kendra Griffith, Dustin Griffith (Mari), Austin Griffith (McKayla), Melodie Beane (Trea), Zack Griffith (Kenzie), Eva Meade (Johnathon), Eric Meade Johnathon Hayhurst (Lindsey), Cody Hayhurst (Cheyanne) and Justin Hayhurst (Mckayla); and his brother-in-law Jimmy Sias. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Handley Funeral Home- Hamlin (7350 Lynn Ave, Hamlin, WV 25523). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at the Beur Branch Cemetery.
