He was predeceased by: his parents, Blaine J. Snyder, Jr. and Alma Ina Pennington Snyder; his brother William Myron Snyder; and his grandson Brian Mitchell Shifflett. He is survived by: his children, Benny Joe Snyder, Jr. (Teresa) of Whitmer, William "Bill" Snyder (Jennifer) of Harman, James (Karen) of Harman and Victoria Ann of Harman; his brothers, Larry Snyder of Harman and Ronnie Snyder (Cindy) of Cumberland, MD; and his grandsons, Alex Snyder (Patty) of Elkins, Adam Snyder (Emily) of Harman, Doug Shifflett, Jr. (Jenny) of Harman and Christopher Shifflett (Stacy) of Thornton.

Viewing was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the United Apostolic Pentecostal Church. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
