The memory of Rita Marie Bound of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, who passed away on September 13, 2025 at the age of 78, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Colna (Hnatishion) and Joseph William Colna. She is survived by: her children, Christa M. Engel (Michael) and David J. Bound (Julie-Rene); her grandchildren, Julian Bound, Jaden Bound, Kaziah M. White and Melody Jake Engel (Andrew); her great grandchild Ryder Mason Suhrie; her siblings, Joseph Colna (Dot), Peggy Fidler (Bob) and Mike Colna (Trish); and her siblings-in-law, William "Bill" Bound (Karen) and Laure Bound.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home (310 S Fairfax Blvd, Ranson, WV 25438). A rosary was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (49 Crosswinds Dr, Charles Town, WV 25414). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Greek Catholic Cemetery.
