She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wesley and Lilian "Lillie" Bunner (Sinnett); her husband Max Kerns; and her siblings, Pearly Bunner, Mabel Pearl Bunner, Clara Jackson, Ruby Kimble, Pauline Varner, Juanita Varner, Stella Davis, Virgil Bunner, Leola Varner and Perry "Jack" Bunner.
She is survived by: her sons, Rockey Lane Kerns (Juli) of Parkersburg, WV, Rodney Brian Kerns (Trudi) of Ellenboro and Brett Max Kerns (Donna) of Harrisville, WV; her grandchildren, Eric, Blake, Maddi, Jonathan, Brett "Bitty", Brian and Cory; her great grandchildren, Riley, Olivia, Hailey, Everett, Bennett, Max, Maverick, Natalie, Gabby, Brianna and Sequoyah; and her great great grandchildren, Oakley and Opal.
She was known for her hard work ethic and dedication and was one of the first in the state to be certified to help work with Alzheimer patients.
