He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey L. Reed and Icie Reed (Bee); his wife Lora JoAnn Reed (McKinney); his former wife Doris Reed; and his brother Donald R. Reed.
He is survived by: his brother Elden E. Reed of Harrisville, WV; his stepson Tim Basham (Christy) of Elkview, WV; his stepgrandchildren, Erin Basham, Alex Basham and Stormie Swiger; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Macie and Dixie Swiger. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
