He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald R. Spencer and Sara Jane Clevenger Spencer; and his father-in-law Gary McDonald. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay McDonald Spencer; his children, John Mark Spencer of Harrisville, Shawn Spencer of St. Marys, Tyler Spencer (Julia) of St. Marys and Samantha Brantner (Scott) of Williamstown; his siblings, Melinda Brohard (Marvin) of Spencer, Jan Willett (Randy) and Tim Spencer (Sonya) of Harrisville; his grandchildren, Jarrett Spencer, JT Spencer (Morgan), Sylas, Sinaya, Surray, Levi and Logan; his great grandchild Josiah; his mother-in-law Darla McDonald; and his daughter Amanda Riggs of Pennsboro.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Raiguel Funeral Home (1200 E Main St, Harrisville, WV 26362). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
