He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillip Butler and Mary June Butler; his sister Theresa Bass; and his brother-in-law Lee Bass. He is survived by: his brother Johnny Butler (Patricia); and his sibling's children, Nichelle Butler, Heather Mata (Irineo), Breanna Butler and Hayden Butler. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home, Inc. (220 Main St, Chapmanville, WV 25508). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Rte (155 Thunder Rd, Chapmanville, WV 25547).
