He is survived by: his children, Duane Chidester (Kathy) of Hazelton, Brenda Chidester (John Bryan) of Hazelton, Kenneth Chidester (Nicole Buseman) of Hazelton, Elizabeth Hunter (Darrin "Dumpy" Hunter) of Hazelton and Timothy Livengood (Rachel) of Yorktown, VA.; his grandchildren, Cody Gibson, Lindsey Ware, Bryanna Chidester, Justin Chidester, Madison Livengood, Maddox Livengood, Jayden "Tater" Livengood, Brooklyn Hunter and Noah Chidester; and his siblings, Fred, Paul, Diane and Crystal. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
