She was predeceased by: her parents, Orie J. Conner, Sr. and Emily Jackson Conner; her former husband Herbert Wesley Smith, Sr.; her husband Danny Ray Bowles; her children, Herbert Wesley Smith, Jr., Donald Smith and Patricia Shirley (Steve); and her sister Joan French.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Smith (Martha), John Smith (Lori), Charles Smith, Elizabeth Marie Hiatt (Mike) and Emily Minerva Shoemaker (Tim); her siblings, Orie Conner, Jr. and Wanda Largent; and her close friend Doug Miller. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; aunts, and uncles.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Brown Funeral Home (327 W King St, Martinsburg, WV 25401).
