He was predeceased by : his parents, Mike Podunavac and Hurl Podunavac; and his siblings, Harlan, Willie, Nick, Roy, Gladys Marie, Helen and Annie.

He is survived by : his wife Bonnie; his grandchildren, Austin Conn (Dellani), Ashton Conn, Lexi Hines, Lauren Hines, Stephen Codispoti (Mika), Holli Gillman (Kip) and Kelli Avis (Chad); his great grandchildren, Raynna, Raegan Codispoti, Hayden Gillman and Harper Akers; and his siblings, Julie Armstrong, Ray and Louie Podunavac.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Akers-James Funeral Home (832 Old Logan Rd, Logan, WV 25601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
