She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Taylor and Essie Taylor; her husband Leo Garland Whitacre; and her sister Patricia Wright. She is survived by: her significant other Carnis Helton, Sr.; her children, Linda Kay (Greg Fansler), Carolyn Whitacre and Adam Lee Helton; her sisters, Blanche "Bea" Whitacre and Brenda Kay (Greg Whitacre); her grandson William "Billy" Hedrick; and her great grandchildren, Jayden Hedrick, Kayden Hedrick, Cristian Santos and Hunter Williams.
