He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Messer and Florence Labelle Messer; his wife Millie Messer; his daughter Mary Robin Smith; his siblings, Jerry, Linda and Judy; and his friend Hope Larson.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Messer, Mark Messer and Suzie Morris; and his grandchildren, Adam, Megan and Bruce Messer. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews and friends.
Curt was awarded the Hinton Hopeful Making a Difference Award in July 2018 by the Hinton Hope Foundation.
