He was predeceased by : his parents, Mike Bennett and Ethel "Faye" Waddell Bennett; his former life partner Phyllis A. Maddux Bennett; and his siblings, Atlee "Abe" Bennett, Nathan "Nate" Bennett, Doris Hamrick, Delmar "Demp" Bennett, Leola "Sis" Wiseman and Arthur "Poob" Bennett.

He is survived by : his wife Janice A. Mann; his children, Patricia "Patti" Greenleaf and Robert Dean Bennett (Alice M.); and his grandchildren, Bernadette Marie McGee, Clayton A. Bennett and Adam C. Bennett. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
