He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Adkins (David Sears) of Hinton, WV, Kathy Harvey of Jumping Branch, WV, Bonnie Cook (Gene Mills) of Barksdale, WV, Rebecca Yopp of Hinton, WV, Jeannie Adkins of Hinton, WV, Betty Jean Adkins (Edward Fox) of Hinton, WV, David Adkins (Gayla) of Greenville, WV and Russell Adkins of Hinton, WV.. He is also survived by Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pivont Funeral Home Chapel (100 Park Ave, Hinton, WV 25951). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Adkins Cemetery.
