He is survived by : his wife Patricia Ann Hartwell of Hinton, WV; his son Eric Hartwell (Sherri); his grandson Abel Leland Hartwell of Sylva, NC; and his son Jarod Hartwell of Hinton, WV. He is also survived by family members, friends.
He made the decision to donate his body to the Osteopathic School of Medicine, which is a compassionate and selfless act that will benefit medical education and research.
