He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard "Harold" Rootes and Melvina Teson Rootes; and his siblings, Sandy Rootes Claus, Bernard "Buddy" Rootes and Thomas "Tucker" Rootes.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Anne Nazarian Rootes; his stepsons, John Hornick (Tanya), David Hornick (Courtney) and Ryan Hornick (Tia); his stepgrandchildren, Zeppelin and Henry; and his sister Susan Supski (Michael). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
