He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Fritz and Elva Sarah Arthur Fitzwater; and his siblings, Walter Fitzwater, George, Paul, Jimmy Lee Fitzwater and Ruth King.
He is survived by : his wife Virginia Tucker Fitzwater; his children, Russell Ray Fitzwater Jr. (Paige) of Mesa, AZ and Mary Eleanor Fitzwater of Charleston, SC; his grandson Paul Jamison "PJ" Fitzwater of Charleston, SC; his brother Jerry Fitzwater (Penny) of Salem, IL; and his friends, Jerry, Pat Mallard of James Island, SC, Rex and Connie Cyphers of Hinton.
