He was predeceased by : his parents, William French and Bernice Louise Lilly Hughes. He is survived by : his sons, Mark Hughes of Princeton and Keith Hughes of Bristol, VA; his grandchildren, Bryan Hughes of Hinton and Sutton Hughes of Bristol, VA; his great grandchild Jayk Lee Hughes of Franklin, OH; his close friend Wanda Mitchem Lusk; and his friend Jim Boley.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel (130 Temple St, Hinton, WV 25951). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Southern WV or to the Hospice of your choice.
