She was predeceased by: her parents, George Denward and Inez Irene Wayne Fields; her husband Vernon "Hoot" Gibson; her brothers, Darrell Denward Fields and Harold Dean Fields; her granddaughter Jana Michelle Dawson; and her sons-in-law, Luther Stapleton and David Leake.
She is survived by: her daughters, Georgeanna Leake, Diana Leffew (Frank) and Darla Stapleton; her grandchildren, Tommy, April, Shawn, Christopher, Michelle, Luther, Vernon, Austin, Michael and Stacy; and her brother William Enos Fields. She is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren.
