He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Melvin and Evelyn Richardson Dotson; wife: Evonne Evans Dotson; sons: Frederick Dotson and Samuel Dotson (Khyra); granddaughter: Evan Lynae Dotson; brothers: Spencer Dotson, Melvin Dotson, Jr., and Larry Dotson; other: Reverend Frank Jones; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Logan Street First Baptist Church (620 Logan St, Williamson, WV 25661). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (169 Forest Lawn Cemetery Rd, Pecks Mill, WV 25547).
