She was predeceased by : her parents, Elton Hartman and Mamie Bitonti Hartman; her husbands, William R. Moyers and James Pierce; and her brother Elton "Eddy" Hartman.

She is survived by : her sons, Phil Moyers and Marty Moyers; her sisters, Leona Hartman of Canonsburg, PA and Emily Hamilton of Princeton, MN; and her grandchildren, Catherine Jean Moyers, Richard W. H. Moyers, Kevin Ean Thompson and Adaline Hibbs.
