He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Been and Mary Ann Been; and his brother Gary Been. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Janine "Jan" Fordyce Been; his daughter Chelsea Overman (Adam) of Chesapeake, Virginia; his siblings, David Been of Chicago, Illinois and Julie Dykema of Chicago, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Aiden Overman and Emma Overman.
