He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Hixenbaugh (Farley) and Glen Hixenbaugh. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his pet Muffin; his children, Jeff Hixenbaugh (Chasity) of Waynesburg and Chrisine Barnhart (Doug) of New Freeport; his siblings, Kathy Moore (John) and Danny Hixenbaugh (Nancy) of Warren, OH.; his grandchildren, Tyler (Aspen), Zachery (Alexis), Levi and Riley (Logan); and his great grandchild Oakley Steven Barnhart.
Steve was an active member of the NWTF, which in 2025 he received an award for his dedication and contribution to the Federation and to his community.
